What We Value

At Mitternight, we know that value goes beyond the bottom line. We go beyond competitive pricing and commit ourselves to delivering long-term, high-value products and services to our customers. We never cut corners because we know that true value is only possible when a job is safe, quality-driven, and on schedule. The long-term cost of disregarding safety or producing poor-quality equipment often comes in the form of unplanned shutdowns, disrupted schedules, budget overages, or, at worst, injuries to employees. By acting with integrity and committing every aspect of our work to safety, quality, and schedule we are then—and only then—able to provide our customers with high-value equipment and services.

01

Safety

Mitternight takes a people-first approach to safety. We train our employees to always keep in mind the lives that will be affected by the safety of a job. We believe that following strict protocol has a purpose. Whether we’re fabricating equipment, performing field repairs, or working in emergency situations, our employees know that every safety procedure is critical to the well-being of everyone involved. At the end of the day, it’s always about respecting and protecting the lives of our crew and our customers.

02

Quality

Quality permeates throughout the entirety of Mitternight's culture. At the heart of our reputation for quality is our team of expertly trained employees. We hire the best to give our customers the best. The quality of our team begins with our hiring process and is strengthened through ongoing training and mentorship. We focus on the continued development of every Mitternight employee. It's that constant pursuit of excellence that enables us to provide our customers as the best equipment and service provider in the industry.

03

Schedule

Production Scheduling/Controls Department develops and maintains an Integrated Master Schedule, working closely with Project Managers, Quality, Engineering and Plant Manager to ensure timely project execution.

At Mitternight we have implemented a Planning, Scheduling and Project Controls System. Utilizing Critical Path Methodology (CPM) and an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Mitternight provides and maintains well-constructed, logic driven production schedules and reporting functions to ensure an on time delivery.

04

Team Work

Project management, quality control and supervision are elements that are vital in the fabrication process. Each job is unique; it must first have the devoted attention of our project management and scheduling group to provide our plant with a well defined quality strategy and scope of work. Our engineers and designers maintain a close liaison with fabrication and the quality control department. This helps assure that the customer specifications are understood and followed.

05

Community Outreach

Mitternight's scholarship program will be awarding two local high school graduates free tuition to Mitternight's Welding Program. This opportunity insures that we are committed to our local community by educating our youth and giving them the proper tools for their success.

06

Craftsmanship

Our definition of craftsmanship — one of Mitternight’s core values — comprises deep passion, care, and a meticulous attention to detail on every one of our projects.

Our Story

In 1927 Joe Mitternight opened a boiler repair shop on the Mobile riverfront. It was dedicated to simple values like customer satisfaction and quality production.

Over the years, Mitternight Boiler Works, Inc. has evolved into a modern world class production facility manufacturing ASME Code vessels. These include heat exchangers, chemical reactors, distillation columns and other pressure vessels for Fortune 500 customers around the world.

Today at Mitternight, Inc., you will still find well-trained, highly-experienced people who care about their work. You will also find a production process built around meticulous monitoring and continuous improvement. We deliver quality products on time. That is the essence of Mitternight, and it translates into value for our customers.

All of our departments coordinate efforts to meet the common goal: the goal of getting your vessel back to you when promised, within budget and to your specifications. From estimating through final inspections, our people are dedicated to this purpose.

Today, we successfully handle a far-reaching range of projects from small, intricate work, to jobs that are among the most ambitious and demanding in the industry. But we have never lost sight of our founding principles.

We welcome each challenge presented to us.

We welcome yours too.
