Projects
Project Sierra
The Sierra BioFuels Plant located in Storey County, Nevada, is expected to process approximately 175,000 tons of MSW feedstock annually, creating 11 million gallons per year of renewable synthetic crude oil, or “syncrude,” that will be processed by Marathon Petroleum into transportation fuel.
Mitsubishi Engineering Company
Mitternight EPC & Industrial Services (MIS) has teamed with Mitsubishi Chemical Engineering (MEC), in Tokyo, Japan, to complete the CEP III project, for a confidential client, in La Porte, TX. MIS provided Construction Management, Project Controls, Engineering, and Procurement support, augmenting MEC staff members. The MIS team joined MEC on site last May to begin planning the balance of work and conducting meetings with our construction partner, Austin Industrial. Construction work began June 7th and was completed October 31st, 2021.
Vertex Energy
Upon completion of the project, which is expected to conclude by year-end 2022, the refinery will commence production of approximately 10,000 barrels per day of renewable diesel, increasing to 14,000 bpd by mid-year 2023, while continuing to supply conventional fuels to the regional market at the current rates...
